Frequently asked questions
What does this tool actually do? +
We place one real phone call to your business number. Our system measures how many times it rings, whether a human answers or it goes to voicemail, and what kind of voicemail greeting plays. Then we score you across 4 categories (speed, answer, voicemail quality, and availability) and give you a letter grade from A to F.
Will it leave a voicemail or bother my customers? +
If your voicemail picks up, our system records what callers would hear (your greeting) and then hangs up. You may see a brief missed call notification. If a human answers (like a receptionist or answering service), they'll hear a short, friendly message identifying the call as a test from Turnkey Dispatch. One call, no follow-up calls.
How is the revenue loss calculated? +
We use industry averages for your trade (average job value, typical weekly call volume) combined with the reality that most callers who hit voicemail never call back. The estimate is based on how many of those missed calls would have converted to paying jobs. It's a projection, not an exact figure.
What do the sub-scores mean? +
Speed measures how quickly a human answered. Answer checks if a real person picked up. Voicemail checks whether anything catches the call when nobody answers. Availability scores your overall reachability. Each category is scored out of 25 for a total out of 100.
Can I test my number more than once? +
Yes, up to 3 times per day for the same number. This lets you test during business hours, after hours, and on weekends to see how your phone performs at different times.
